Back in 2005 I wrote a an blog post http://www.derrickhackman.com/?p=5 that basically got my Web 2.0 rant off my shoulders too. I am with you on this one ... I get what Web 2.0 is being 'sold' as but for anyone that has been building systems on the Web for more than 10 years it is just the re-branding of something that we always had to do anyhow ... integrate dissimilar apps to get something that works. In the end, Web 2.0 only matters to the markets and the Web 2.0 spin heads ... for me it is just a bunch of new API's.
