About Usability Counts

Usability Counts is a blog run by Patrick Neeman, a User Experience  Consultant based out of Southern California. You have probably used a website he has helped design or architect — a claim few Information Architects can make, and some of the companies he’s has worked with include MySpace, Realtor.com, Move.com, Orbitz, NewsCorp, Paramount, Stamps.com, Escrow.com, Comcast, Disney, Amgen, Paul Mitchell, Numonyx, Cadence, Wasserman Media Group, eBay and BidRx. Somewhere in there, he was a published writer in print (print!), a published photographer that was appeared on autobytel.com and espn.com, and somehow finds time to be an elite Yelper (he outsources his writing to the Phillipines).

His’  greatest claim to fame: the first site he designed professionally was the Oliver North Home Page.

His’ second greatest claim to fame: he built and managed the User Experience practice at speakTECH to a team of 25 of designers, information architects and rich media developers. You try doing that in a year.

Patrick has done has his time for the last thirteen years in user experience, product management and marketing hell. Before the World Wide Web, he was a magazine art director for what is now Primedia Publishing, Inc., and that was the last time he had a sense of humor.

About Patrick Neeman
And Usability Counts

Patrick NeemanPatrick Neeman is an User Experience and Social Media Strategist that spends a lot of time in seat 14D on United Airlines. His days on the ground are in San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver (BC), Portland and Los Angeles.

He thinks the internet is a fad, and has thought so for the last 12 years, along with dinosaurs, the pet rock, and Tainted Love covers.

Patrick is currently working on something very cool with Microsoft that's going to change the landscape of social media and personal communication. His past experience includes Microsoft (again), Disney (twice), MySpace, Realtor.com, BlackBerry, WebEx, Orbitz, eBay (twice), and Stamps.com.

He is a featured speaker about User Experience and Social Media, and is an instructor for the Online Marketing Institute.
